The goal: create a dessert that is pink & sparkly for a friend's baby shower. I took it to a whole new level, why make only 1 type of cupcake, why not 3? And though the Cake Pops aren't pictured, the same rule applied. These cupcakes are fluffy and moist chocolate cake. The pink cupcakes are a fluffy vanilla frosting with candy hearts and edible pearls. Then let's talk about the chocolate ones. The frosting: creamcheese & buttercream frosting, one with candy hearts and pink sprinkles. And the other? Why not add a peanut butter cup baked into the batter and more on top too. Yep, objective achieved: Pink & Sparkly!

A Birthday Cake & Cake Pop Candles
When a friend asked me to make this delicious treat, I wondered why I hadn't ever thought of it. A moist and delicious layered chocolate cake with rich and creamy chocolate frosting sounded great, but wait, there's more. They wanted vanilla bean cake pops too! Yet, rather than the lollipop sticks, they wanted candles - I was up for the challenge and loved making this for a special birthday girl!
